Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 23, 2026

GymGymA has no account, no servers, and no analytics. Everything you enter stays on your device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. We cannot see your workouts, your health data, or anything else you put in the app.

GymGymA (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a workout tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch. This policy explains what data the app handles and — just as importantly — what it does not.

Data stored on your device

The app stores the following locally on your device, using Apple’s on-device database:

• Routines, workouts, sets, reps, weights, durations, and distances
• The exercise library and any custom exercises you add
• Body-weight entries and history
• App settings (units, rest-timer length, language)

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export a backup (see “Backups”) or save to Apple Health (see below). There is no user account and no sign-in.

Apple Health (HealthKit)

With your permission, GymGymA integrates with Apple Health:

• Reads: heart rate and active energy during a workout (shown as live metrics), and body weight (to show your weight history).
• Writes: completed workouts and body-weight entries that you add.

Health data is handled entirely on your device and within Apple Health. GymGymA does not transmit your Health data anywhere, does not use it for advertising, and does not share it with any third party. You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in the iOS Health app or in Settings.

Apple Watch

The app syncs your active workout between iPhone and Apple Watch directly over Apple’s device-to-device connection. This sync works locally and does not require an internet connection or any server.

Backups

You can export your data to a single backup file (.gymbackup). This is initiated by you, and the file is handed to the iOS share sheet for you to save or send wherever you choose. GymGymA does not upload this file or send it anywhere on its own.

What we do NOT do

• No user accounts, no login, no email collection
• No analytics, telemetry, tracking, or advertising
• No third-party SDKs that collect your data
• No selling or sharing of personal data — because we collect none

Data retention and deletion

Because all data lives on your device, you are in control. Deleting the app removes its on-device data. Data you saved to Apple Health is managed in the Health app, where you can delete it. Any backup files you exported are under your control wherever you saved them.

Children’s privacy

GymGymA is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and post the new version at this URL.
